Utrecht's rich history is reflected in its many historical church buildings. From the centuries-old Gothic ‘Dom’ cathedral to the mediaeval Buurkerk, St. Nicholas', St. James' and St. Gertrude's churches, all had a hand in shaping the history of Utrecht, and each one has its own story to tell.

During the summer months, Visiting Churches presents the opportunity to listen to these stories and to view the churches themselves. A guide is stationed in every church, ready to give visitors a tour or provide information on the various sights that the church interiors have to offer. Entry and guided tours are free, and all churches have wheelchair access.
