The impressive 60-metre high administration building is owned by the railways. Founded on rails, 22 million bricks and 4000 m3 of oak were used for its construction. Railway engineer G.W. van Heukelom abandoned historic styles in the design. Many design elements have been retained, such as the historic stairwell and Art Deco clocks in the offices. The building was renovated between 1999 and 2002: façades were cleaned and frames replaced. The park at the front is part of the whole.
